Pisces – The Second and Sixth Rays

Pisces

~ The Second and Sixth Rays ~

Pisces has often been associated with emotional sensitivity, dreaminess, and intuitive capacity.  As the representative of the receding astrological age, it has been a dominating force for the last two millennia. Because of this, Pisces has had an enormous influence on humanity as a whole. For those who are consciously walking the Path, this sign tends to facilitate the opening of the heart resulting in a compassionate urge to serve. And, it is the Second Ray of Love and Wisdom and the Sixth Ray of Idealism and Devotion that are foundational to this urge.

Pisces is one of the most Christ-filled signs of the zodiacal wheel. It is for this reason that the Second Ray plays such a pivotal role within the consciousness of the Piscean individual who is deliberately treading the Path. Indeed, when we consider the seven rays from an archetypal perspective, the Second Ray is the ray of the Christ Principle.  It is for this reason that love is such a central theme of life to the spiritually inclined Piscean.

The Sixth Ray also plays a crucial role in the consciousness of the Piscean disciple. It is a living energy that shapes into his/her consciousness a devotional desire to relieve human suffering. Sometimes called the sign of the saving force, Piscean people (who are on the Path) often feel compelled to bring love and aid to those who are in a state of hopelessness, helplessness and despair. Many Piscean people therefore serve with a sense of salvage and rescue underlying their actions, and it is the Sixth Ray that gives rise to this tendency.
